It's an addiction, spreading like wildfire through the employees here! EVERYONE IS CRUSHING THE CANDY AND RID THEIR LIVES OF JELLY FOREVER!!!!!

I haven't been sucked in yet...but it's only a matter of time.

Puppy Love!!!

There comes a point in your horse loving life that you fall....hard for one horse. They are your all, you're everything. Nothing could go wrong as long as you were riding them. No irritating guest, no rollie pollie, no stupid question could make you angry as long as you were riding them. The feeling of bolting down the road with no plan to stop and nothing standing in your way is indescribable. 

For me that horse was Edgar. 

Just your average quarter horse. Black, two white back socks, not too tall, but so fantastic. I would die if I could buy him. I would be the happiest girl on earth. 

Unfortunately, I'm at a different stable and his home is Moraine...so I've had to find another love.

Thus, Puppy. 

A spotted draft with the longest forelock ever, white with some grey, huge feet, and an apple butt. Her mom is a gem and she is...not quite as seasoned. She's a bouncy ride, but is the pace car for all long rides. I'm trying to find it in my heart to love her like Eddy, but it's gonna take some time.

The past few days have been absolute madness! Really it was just yesterday, but it was madness.

It's a rough life in the Rockies

I took a half day breakfast, got back and noon and was thrown into udder chaos that no one was prepared for.

Gina: "Gosh no, we're never booked, but we can't promise we'll get you on a horse right away."

We were going on rides nonstop yesterday and it was FANTASTIC!!! We broke $10,000 for the first time since Kansas has been here, I'm excited!

CLAIRE IS HERE!!! :) It's like non of us ever skipped a beat in our friendships and its been kind of fantastic.

Three new girls showed up today and "Did we just become best friends?" got thrown around a lot.

I have been eating an excessive amount of carbs...it's beginning to become a bit of an issue.

In addition to being an insane day, we all might have lost a little bit of our minds.
Ex: Two guys walk into the office, in their late 20's, they had filled out green and pink release forms.
 "Some office humor for ya." For those of you that are sane and have no idea what that means, pink forms are for doubles and green is for anyone under 18...dumb people.

The days are only going to get longer and the nights will get shorter. Can't wait!!!

Memorial Day weekend!!! We don't have a breakfast ride...so you know what that means....LATE BARN CALL!!! :) 

It's been a long past couple of days. Lots of people coming to ride and we've been in the saddle more than I've expected. 

Shelby and Lindz are here and I'm so freaking excited!!! It's been such a long time since I've seen these girls in so long! It's so good to see everyone back together and reliving every moment of last summer.

It's been exactly a year today since...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATHLEEN!!!!!

21st!!! Currently she's on a bar crawl with anyone of age!

It's been exactly a year since....
-one of the wrangler's twisted her ankle while jump roping with a lead rope
-Twilight spooked
-We went to Smokin' Dave's for the first time
-Zach took us to Estes for the first time

A lot has happened since then! We've defiantly become different people...in the best way possible!

Today was a fantastic day as well...
I took a four hour ride out with a lovely couple from Australia...I want to go there and I want to go now. I want to own a platypus and they are really only found there.

I had so much fun listening to their stories about their travels and really it was just the accents!

I was a fantastic ride and the day went by at a considerable good pace! I am continuing to become more and more burnt everyday! Pre-warning, Wal-Mart brand sunscreen doesn't work too well, ever!!!! :)

Now I get to go pick them all up! YAY for being the designated driver!!

The Life of a Wrangler...

It's been two whole days: 

-My hands are bleeding

-My legs are chapped

-My shoulders are sore

-My face is extremely burnt

It's a rough life here in the Rocky Mountains. 

We wake up to this view every morning and get to ride horses all day. 

Don't get me wrong the work is hard, the days are long, but the nights are longer. The friendships you make last a lifetime and the people you meet change your life forever. It's a dream to live up here for the summer. I've never had so much fun and met some many amazing people. 

I can't wait to see what this summer has to offer, but so far it's been everything I've wanted.

Exactly one year ago today I was moving into my bunkhouse in Moraine Park. I was saying goodbyes to my family and hello to summer filled with possibilities. I spent the summer living it up and soaking up the fun and sun. Although as the last few days approached I started to realize, these goodbyes would not be forever, not by any means. 

Look here I am a year later, writing a blog about my plans for the upcoming summer, plans that mirror my "adventures" from the previous summer. 

I'm nervous, excited, anxious, happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time...oh wait. 

I plan to fill this summer with adventure. To have exciting and unusual experiences and live this summer like it was my last. 

I have a lot of goals for the summer: 

1. White water rafting

2. Hike Longs Peak

3. Buy touristy things in Estes Park

4. Blog and scrapbook this summer

5. Miss my friends

6. Check off some things from my Bucket List

In addition to being a Wrangler, I will be on a cruise in the Caribbean in five weeks!!!

This will be me in a month:

I get to spend seven days with my favorite people, sand, sea, fresh air, dolphins. CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I am excited for what this summer has to offer. The friendships, new and old, the good times, and the memories that will last a lifetime.
